What is The Avid Golfer?
The Avid Golfer is a golf app for iPhone and Android that brings together golf GPS, a live digital scorecard, match play and tournament scoring, handicap tracking, automatic shot tracing and a private network of the members at your golf club.
Which golf formats can I score?
Stroke play, match play, Stableford, modified Stableford and auto press, for singles, three-balls, four-balls and foursomes, plus Ryder Cup style team events. Handicap strokes are applied for every player automatically.
Does it include golf GPS yardages?
Yes. The app shows front, centre and back of the green and the distance to any target on 4,000+ US golf courses, with no rangefinder or extra hardware needed.
How does handicap tracking work?
Your index updates from the rounds you play in the app, and handicap feedback shows your strokes and season points against the members you actually play with, so every match is fair.
